Instead, I prefer light, pure oils such as jojoba or argan oil, which nourish the follicles without causing buildup. Another important tip is differentiating between hair breakage and thinning due to follicle shrinkage, as each requires different care. For instance, if your hair tends to break before growing long, focus on strengthening hair strands with protein treatments and gentle detangling. If thinning is mostly from follicle shrinkage, calming scalp inflammation with soothing ingredients like aloe vera or tea tree oil can help.
