I’m probably the only one who looks forward to having my mammogram. After not having insurance for the last 2 years it feels good to get all my appointments in for the year.

I figured since it’s a cool and rainy day that a casserole for dinner would warm us up. I made ham and macaroni casserole and homemade shortcake, topped with Mrs. Newswangers strawberries 🍓

I’ve seen signs for local strawberries 🍓. I decided to check it out and see what the price is this year. I got this little pint for $6, at the place on Brimmer Ave, beside the Jehovah’s Witness church. Last year I paid $8-9 for a quart. I was hoping to make jam this year.

It was a cheeseburger kind of dinner. Fresh hamburger, American cheese, bacon, onion straws, mayo and mustard. Along with seasoned potato wedges. 😋

It’s never too early to teach your kids to parallel park. I get a little chuckle every morning when I see this. Sometimes it’s actually in between actual cars.

Kim made baked chicken with bourbon peach bbq sauce (Kinders brand ), smashed potatoes with colby jack cheese for dinner tonight. For dessert I made homemade apple crisp topped with vanilla ice cream.

Tonight’s dinner was chicken parm. The breaded chicken is from Heartlands Fresh, and are delicious and easy to make in the air fryer.

I was wanting a snack but not sure what to eat that wasn’t bacon! Then I remembered I made pickled red beets the other week and put them in the back of the fridge. Perfect color and taste with just salt on.
