Feast in the mood of France in autumn

Had the loveliest Sunday afternoon at Summer Hill for “The Brunch Trolley”, featuring their new seasonal menu “Autumn Abundance.” This dim sum–style experience brings a great spread of French dishes straight to your table, and you are welcome to go back for more of your favourites after the first round.

• Leeks Vinaigrette

• Marinated Beets with Goat’s Cheese

• Clam Mouclade

• Cotriade

• Caramelised Bacon Jam & Pumpkin

• Braised Cabbage with Duck Fat Granola

• Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes

• Duck Leg Confit with Sauce Bigarade

• Petite Salé with Lentils

• Venison Pie

• Grape Harvest Cake with Olive Oil

• Pineapple Curd Tart

• DIY Snow Cone Bar

Dining here feels so homey, and every dish was a treat. We were already full after the first round but couldn’t resist another helping of the duck leg confit with crispy skin, tender marinated meat and a tangy vegetable pairing we loved. Another standout was the Brittany fish stew in a creamy white wine stock with delicately cooked halibut, and the clam spices soup was irresistible for soaking up with the bun.

Desserts were equally delightful! The grape sponge cake with whipped cream and the citrusy pineapple tart were standouts, and making our own snow ice with toppings was such a fun finish.
