$70 for a 7-course French omakase

I finally visited this hidden gem for an incredibly delicious and affordable omakase experience in town.

Each course comes with its own name, keeping us curious and excited about what’s coming next.

We started our journey with a complimentary Milk Curd Tempura, a sweet n crispy treat, followed by:

Surprise

🍗 Chicken, pho, yuzu broth

Light yet comforting, with a bright citrus lift from the yuzu.

Pure

🦪 Scallop, cauliflower, asparagus, bacon

A chemical-free giant scallop with natural sweetness, balanced by smoky bacon and a creamy cauliflower base.

Memory

🍤 Red prawn, “paper rose”, smoked bonito muoi

A Vietnamese–Japanese fusion featuring tempura red prawn with sakura ebi and unique sauces, accompanied by a crispy rice-paper flower that melts in your mouth.

Playful

🍝 Zucchini strings, black truffle, farm egg

Pasta topped with a wobbly poached egg, a gentle kick from Sichuan peppercorn sauce, and finished with black truffle slices.

Main

🐟 Nordic Black Halibut

Celeriac, haricot beans, roasted chipotle beurre blanc. Silky fish paired with super creamy sauce.

Or

🐖 Kurobuta Pork Chop (+$8 supplement)

Brined for 24 hours, served with parsnip, mustard greens, and Granny Smith jus. It’s wonderfully done!

Frozen

🍨 Hokkaido milk, nori, tomato, basil crunch

A savoury-leaning dessert with roasted nori, yellow tomato compote, and a thin biscuit made of basil, almond, and sesame. Everything is house-made, even the vanilla ice cream. I really love the mix of textures in every bite.

Sinful

🍫 Grandma’s most chocolatey brownie, crème toffee au miso

Deep, rich chocolate with a miso-based sauce and a touch of acidity from dehydrated strawberry to finish.

Just add $3.50 for free-flow mineral water or Summer Dream Tea, a refreshing, sugar-free and caffeine-free mixed berry tea that we loved.

Every course is thoughtfully curated and their menu changes every few months, @white_bird_scramble is definitely one to bookmark.

Many high-end omakase meals can be overwhelming in portion or price, but this 7-course journey feels curated yet accessible. Each dish combines French culinary techniques with Asian influences, like the yuzu broth with chicken or the Vietnamese-Japanese red prawn tempura. These playful pairings offer a rich tasting adventure without the pretension sometimes associated with omakase. Adding the Kurobuta Pork Chop at a small supplement cost allows for a hearty upgrade, while the dessert options contrast texture and flavors beautifully—especially the house-made vanilla ice cream paired with basil crunch. The restaurant’s location in Frasers Tower makes it a convenient spot for both locals and visitors looking for a memorable food outing. To enhance your experience, consider the refreshing free-flow Summer Dream Tea for just a few dollars extra. Overall, this French omakase gives a uniquely Singaporean twist on classic dishes with meticulous plating and a thoughtful menu rotation, perfect for anyone who loves exploring world cuisine without breaking the bank.

Value for money omakase!
🤩 $115 for 11 courses, premium ingredients like Hokkaido Oysters, A5 Wagyu, Uni, and fresh sashimi is really value for money. Local chef, non-traditional hole in the wall spot. Definitely better than average for this price range, and would recommend the restaurant to non-Japanese food snobs!

Omakase at $98 per pax for 12 course
We tried this omakase at $98 per pax for 12 courses. It’s affordable and definitely value for money, though honestly there isn’t much of a wow factor, most courses are sushi. We added a few extra dishes at additional cost and those made a big difference. The foie gras and beef were especial

Not kidding — S$24 for an Omakase-level experience
Tried their lunch set and the whole table was filled like a mini feast. Can’t believe S$24 per pax can feel this premium ✨ 💡 Highlights: • Vibes: Super cozy Japanese izakaya feel — wooden interiors, counter grill, and there’s literally no cashier. It feels like a place only regulars know about.
