Peace over Proximity ☮️
•Today marks one year.
A year in a place I once built my life around
and a year since everything changed.
•I stayed.
•I showed up.
•I proved to myself I’m stronger than I thought.
•But if I’m honest… being here still pulls at old wounds.
•And God’s been teaching me something simple, but hard:
•Strength isn’t always staying.
•Sometimes strength is knowing when something is no longer helping you heal.
•Not every place is meant to be permanent.
Some were only meant for a season… and staying too long can keep your heart tied to what God is trying to lead you out of.
•Just because I can stand in it… doesn’t mean I’m meant to keep living in it.
•“Leave your past behind you, and let us move on to maturity…” — Hebrews 6:1 (ERV)
•I’m not going backward.
I’m just learning how to move forward with peace this time.
I’ve already proven I can endure.
Now I’m choosing something softer.
✨ Reflection:
• Is where I am helping me heal or keeping me hurting?
• What might God be asking me to release?
• What would choosing peace look like for me?
✨Prayer
God, for anyone reading this who feels stuck in a place that still hurts… meet them right there. Give them peace in the middle of it, and clarity on what they need to do next. If they’re holding onto something that’s no longer meant for them, gently help them release it. Replace the heaviness with strength, and the confusion with direction.Remind them they’re not alone, and that You’re already making a way forward even if they can’t see it yet. Amen.
If you’ve ever been in a place that felt hard to outgrow… or you’re there right now, I see you. You’re not alone in it 🤍
