Pumpkin Cream Alani!!
Pumpkin Cream Alani! Taste test its a no for us!! 1-10 #pumpkincreamalaninu #pumpkinalani #nasty #
Picking up a new seasonal energy drink always comes with a mix of excitement and a little bit of apprehension. When I spotted the Alani Pumpkin Cream, I was undeniably intrigued. Pumpkin spice everything is a fall staple, so an energy drink version sounded like it could either be a fantastic, cozy hit or a complete miss. Unfortunately, for us, it landed squarely in the 'miss' category, as our initial taste test quickly revealed. We were genuinely hoping for a new autumn favorite, but sometimes, even the most anticipated flavors don't quite live up to expectations. From the moment we cracked open the can, the scent was... well, memorable. The image description captured it perfectly: it *smelled like a can of pumpkin*. Not pumpkin pie, not a creamy pumpkin latte, but raw, unadulterated canned pumpkin puree. It was quite strong and gave us a hint of what was to come. That distinct, earthy pumpkin aroma, without the usual warm spices or sweetness we associate with fall beverages, was a bit off-putting right from the start. We were hoping for something rich and comforting, but that initial sniff was a definite red flag that this might be a unique experience. Then came the taste, and we really wanted to like it, we truly did! We're fans of Alani Nu's other flavors and love a good seasonal treat. But the flavor profile of the Pumpkin Cream felt a little disjointed. It didn't quite blend the pumpkin notes with the creaminess we anticipated. Instead of a smooth, spiced, and comforting drink, it had a somewhat artificial sweetness that struggled to complement the strong pumpkin essence. It lacked the comforting warmth you associate with pumpkin spice, and the 'cream' aspect was barely noticeable. It just didn't hit the mark for a satisfying autumn beverage, leaving us with a rather peculiar aftertaste. Now, taste is incredibly subjective, and what one person dislikes, another might absolutely adore. However, based on our experience, it wasn't the harmonious blend of flavors we'd hoped for. When we say 'Asher face pretty much says it all,' you know it wasn't a pleasant surprise! It left us wondering if the balance of flavors was just a bit off, or if the natural pumpkin essence is simply challenging to translate into an energy drink format without becoming overwhelming or losing its appeal. We've had great success with other Alani Nu seasonal releases, so this one was particularly surprising. If you're someone who is absolutely devoted to pumpkin flavor in any form, and you don't mind a very direct, unadorned pumpkin taste, then perhaps you might find some novelty in it. But if you're expecting a creamy, spiced, sweet treat akin to a pumpkin chai or a classic pumpkin spice latte, you might be left feeling a little underwhelmed, just like we were. For those craving a seasonal fix, you might be better off sticking to a traditional pumpkin spiced coffee or exploring other Alani Nu flavors that are consistently crowd-pleasers. Sometimes, seasonal innovations don't quite land as expected, and this one, for us, was definitely a 1 out of 10. It served as a good reminder that while trying new things is fun, some classics are classics for a reason!
