Ran My First 15k! 🥹

Went for distance!!! Being able to run with compromised lungs was always a big goal of mine!! 😍 With the right supplements, breathing techniques, and not stressing about my time, I am able to run a 15k.

I started running 5k’s back in 2019. This year, I promised myself to dedicate the time and effort in to running longer distance. Last weekend, I ran a 15k. The week prior, I ran a 10k.

With all of these steps taken, my goal is to be able to run a half marathon by the end of 2024.

Running long distances, like a 15k, is a significant accomplishment for any runner, especially those with health challenges. To prepare for my first 15k, I implemented several strategies, including proper training regimes, breathing techniques, and the right supplements. Supplements such as electrolytes and energy gels can be crucial for maintaining stamina and hydration during the run. In my training, I started with 5k races back in 2019 and gradually increased my distance while listening to my body. Consistency was key, as was finding a balance with my breathing techniques to support my lungs effectively. Additionally, I focused on mental preparation, aiming not to stress about my pace but rather enjoy the journey of running. With successful completion of both 10k and 15k distances, my eyes are now set on conquering a half marathon by the end of 2024. As I look ahead, I'm eager to share tips and insights with fellow runners on how to overcome obstacles, set measurable goals, and celebrate every small victory along the way. Running is as much a mental journey as it is physical, and together we can encourage one another in our pursuits!

🤍 Today I ran my first ever 5K (while I know it’s not much I was never into running until recently) and I was really nervous I wouldn’t be able to run all the way through. But I finished in about 30 minutes which wasn’t horrible and I finished at least!!! 🤍 How I Felt: I was definitely super tire

ran my first 5k today

for my first one i thought it went amazing. i ran most of it which felt good and finished it in 28min with a pace of 12’55 per mile. after doing this one i’d love to do more of them! im only 2 months into my running and id love some tip and tricks others got to make it easier since im still strug
