A little glimpse into my Sunday 🌸
I’ve learned it’s a must for me to be ready before I even get to the church building, and worship alway helps set the atmosphere for me. Balancing mommy mode and teacher mode isn’t always easy, especially when I’m encouraging and speaking life into my son but honestly, he needs both. 💗
Preparing for church is more than just getting dressed and out the door; it’s about setting the right mindset and atmosphere for worship. I’ve found that starting my preparation at home with quiet reflection or worship music helps me transition from everyday busyness to a peaceful and focused mindset suitable for church. As a mom and a teacher, I often juggle multiple roles even on a Sunday. One important lesson I’ve learned is the value of speaking life and encouragement into my son while also maintaining boundaries that help him grow. It’s a balancing act—being nurturing yet firm—which reflects how we often nurture faith alongside discipline. Worship music is a powerful tool that sets the tone for the entire Sunday. Whether it’s singing along at home or silently reflecting on lyrics, it creates an atmosphere that prepares your heart and mind for church. This practice doesn’t just help me; it also becomes a shared experience with my son, teaching him the importance of spiritual readiness. Additionally, having a Sunday routine helps ease the stress of getting ready. Setting out clothes or packing bags the night before reduces last-minute rushing, allowing more quality time for family connection and spiritual preparation. Overall, the journey to church is also a spiritual journey. Balancing mommy mode and teacher mode means acknowledging both nurturing and instructive moments, especially when encouraging growth and faith in children. This approach makes Sundays more meaningful and fulfilling for the whole family.
