My impulse purchases from this week

4 days agoEdited to

... Read moreImpulse shopping can be both thrilling and a bit regretful, and my recent finds reflect exactly that mix. I especially loved the Princess Polly cardigan for its quality and style, but receiving it still with the security tag on threw me for a loop. Removing security tags at home is tricky because they're designed to prevent theft, and improper removal can damage the item or even set off alarms if returned. Many suggest taking the item back to the store for professional removal, but if that's not convenient, some crafty shoppers recommend using strong magnets or safe pry tools—though caution is essential to avoid ruining the garment. One of my best purchases was definitely the Asics sneakers. Being on my feet all day, I appreciate footwear that offers great support and comfort, and these have outshined even my previous Hokas. On the other hand, the lunchbox purchase was more sentimental than practical—I rarely pack lunches, so it’s a fun, colorful addition but probably won’t change my lunch habits. I also got a new sweatshirt, which I love for its softness and color, but realistically, I probably didn't need another one. This is a common dilemma with impulse buys: the emotional joy of new things versus practical needs. The crisscross chair caught my eye twice because I loved it so much, but it’s a borderline regret since it's prompted me to want two, one for home and one for school, which may be overkill. Craft supplies from Hobby Lobby always spark joy even if starting new projects isn’t on my to-do list. The joy from crafting often outweighs the initial hesitation about impulse buying such items. Overall, impulse purchases are about balancing desire with practicality. Reflecting on what I truly use and appreciate helps me make better choices in the future while still enjoying spontaneous finds.

Me too! I have to roll around in my kitchen and now I really want another for school. 0/10 regrets for buying it the first time.
