I’m not supporting nobody who isn’t supporting me. #fyp
From my own experience, I've realized that genuine support in relationships, whether personal or professional, thrives on mutual respect and understanding. When someone expects your support but doesn’t offer it in return, it creates an imbalance that can lead to frustration and distrust. I remember a time when I was constantly supporting a friend who never seemed to reciprocate. Over time, it became clear that they only wanted my help when it suited them and didn’t respect my boundaries. Watching that pattern unfold, I knew I had to set clear limits to protect my emotional well-being. This philosophy isn't about being unkind; rather, it's about self-respect and recognizing your worth. Supporting others is valuable and rewarding when it’s a two-way street. When someone shows they can't respect that, it’s okay to step back and focus your energy on those who truly value and support you. Building such boundaries has helped me cultivate healthier friendships and collaborations, where support is genuine and appreciated. It’s a lesson I continue to practice daily, reminding myself that respect and support should always be mutual.
