Most WORTH Wedding Band Shopping at Little India!!

Today is our first day of wedding band shopping and I looked up a few shops on Lemon8 before! I was hoping to keep my ring shopping below SGD 2500 for both of us, but most shops like aluxe and templeandgrace quote more than 2000++ for lower grade gold (9K/14K gold). Also, our fingers damn ugly and my finger is huge so most rings don’t fit. AGAIN, fortunately, most indian shops offer customised rings with a 2 month lead time!! They also have platinum/rose gold/white gold etc.

UNFORTUNATELY, we both have expensive taste. My fiance wants a huge ring (almost 7g) with a middle diamond stone and I definitely want a gold ring with diamonds!!

First thing to note is most of these rings are 18K/22K Gold so obviously more worth. Secondly, it’s natural diamond for those who want the diamonds.

Now, coming to the price!!! Most of the rings I tried are below $1000 which is CRAZY because other shops were quoting minimum $1.500. Some were even $700/800 so girls can really get a nice diamond ring for a GREAT PRICE. For ladies, their sizes range between 13-17 (more common sizes) . They do have bigger sizes but not much designs and you can custom!

FOR THE MEN’S RING, I have an exact price ok

6.280g 22K gold diamond ring was $1650 from Ishtara (Second pic) and they said they can discount further if we buy today!!

Anyway, tldr: it’s damn worth to get higher purity gold at lower price and natural diamonds too - most pieces can be customised!

Some of the shops I visited:

1. Malabar Gold and Diamonds

2. Ishtara

3. Tanishq

4. Mustafa Gold

Happy shopping!!

... Read moreBased on my personal experience shopping for wedding bands in Little India, I can definitely say it’s a fantastic choice for couples who want quality without breaking the bank. What surprised me the most was the availability of 18K and 22K gold rings that carry a richer gold purity compared to the usual options like 9K or 14K, making it not only a valuable investment but also visually stunning with its deep gold color. Another huge plus is that many shops offer natural diamonds rather than synthetic ones, ensuring that you truly get what you pay for. I also found that the customization options here are excellent. Since each ring can be tailor-made to your size and preference, it’s a relief for those with less common finger sizes or unique style requests. The lead time is about two months, which was manageable for our wedding timeline. Shops also offered various metal choices such as platinum, rose gold, and white gold, which catered to different tastes perfectly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. While some brand-name stores quoted upwards of SGD 2000, many local Indian jewelers had beautiful diamond wedding bands starting as low as SGD 700 to 1000. This price difference didn’t seem to compromise quality or authenticity at all. For men’s rings, the 22K gold diamond ring I considered was priced at SGD 1650, with potential discounts if you decide to buy on the spot. From my shopping trip, I recommend visiting established shops like Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Ishtara, Tanishq, and Mustafa Gold. Each shop had its own unique collection and customer service quality, so visiting a few for comparison is worthwhile. Lastly, the atmosphere of Little India itself adds a cultural and festive vibe to the shopping experience. The bustling market streets and friendly staff make ring shopping less stressful and more exciting. I would definitely suggest future brides and grooms consider Little India for their wedding bands—it’s a place where you can find meaningful, beautiful jewelry within a reasonable budget.
