I have no idea what I’m doing on social media… but I have a 16-month-old to raise and a dream to build a business.
So here I am, learning, trying, failing, and trying again.
With a little help from AI and a lot of courage.
If you want to see how this journey goes, follow along. ✨
Starting a business while raising a young child is no easy feat, especially when social media feels like a foreign language. Like many newcomers, I initially struggled with understanding how algorithms work and how to create content that catches attention within the critical first few seconds. I found that embracing trial and error was essential; failure wasn’t a setback but a stepping stone to learning what resonates with an audience. Using AI tools gave me a much-needed edge. From generating content ideas to optimizing posting times, AI helped me focus on creativity and connection rather than getting overwhelmed by technicalities. Coupled with consistent courage to put myself out there—despite the fear of not knowing all the answers—this approach gradually built my confidence and presence. Having a toddler added another layer of complexity, but it also inspired me to stay authentic. My business isn’t just about selling products; it’s about sharing my real-life experiences and connecting with others who juggle similar challenges. Through sharing my ups and downs, including unpacking the realities of starting a new venture during uncertain times, I’ve attracted a community that values honesty and persistence. For anyone starting out, my advice is to focus on small, manageable steps each day. Don’t aim for perfection—aim for progress. Let AI assist with the repetitive tasks but keep your unique voice front and center. Most importantly, be patient with yourself; balance takes time to achieve, and every stumble is part of the journey toward success.
