9 years ago today, I moved to California.

No real plan. No job. No friends. No anything. And I was absolutely terrified. (3rd picture is the first picture I took living here)

I needed it. If I had stayed in New York, I wouldn’t have been happy. New York raised me - made me strong, made me independent, made me want more out of life. LA made me the woman I am today.

It was a hard road. Nothing’s perfect. I have a love-hate relationship with both places. But Los Angeles gave me hope. Helped me figure out who I was, what I needed to let go of, how I could grow into a much healthier, happier version of myself.

I’m still the young Mia at heart, but she has learned a lot. And I’m proud of both of these people.

Will I stay in LA forever? No. I feel a change coming. But right now, I’m happy and grateful for everything… even when the future seems like a dark, scary place.

Happy 9 year anniversary, LA. 💫

... Read moreMoving cross-country can be both exhilarating and daunting. My transition from New York to Los Angeles was marked by uncertainty, yet it became a pivotal moment in my life. While adapting to the new environment, I faced moments of fear and doubt, but also growth and discovery. Los Angeles is not just a city; it's a place filled with opportunities, creativity, and a unique lifestyle that contrasts with the hustle of New York. Many who relocate to LA find themselves evolving amidst the vibrant culture, diverse communities, and stunning landscapes. Over the years, I've learned to embrace change, understanding that transformation is a part of the journey. Today, as I celebrate my 9-year anniversary in this dynamic city, I recognize the value of each experience that has contributed to my personal growth. Whether you're considering a move or just curious about life in LA, I hope to inspire you with my story and encourage you to explore the world's potential for change. If you have faced similar crossroads, remember that every step, even the scary ones, shapes who you are meant to be and can lead you to discover your true self.

God is moved by your faith, not your bad attitude
I use to get frustrated with God when things didn’t go my way. It was like I expected Him to follow my schedule. (Just straight up entitled!)🤦🏽‍♀️ However, I’ve learned that it’s not about how long I wait, but my attitude in the wait. Just because I can’t always see what He’s doing doesn’t mean
