Trust

"Big decisions often leave us feeling isolated, making it hard to trust—even God. But when your own understanding feels limited, remember that His heart for you is vast. Bring your choices to Him in prayer, let His wisdom be your compass, and walk forward in faith. Trusting Him fully isn't about having all the answers; it’s finding peace in the promise that He is always there, guiding your path and protecting your journey."

... Read moreMaking big decisions can often feel overwhelming and isolating. From my own experience, I've found that when I try to rely solely on my own understanding, I tend to get stuck in doubt and fear. However, embracing the teaching to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight" has been transformative. What helps me is to intentionally pause and bring my decisions to prayer. Rather than rushing, I allow myself to listen for the quiet inner guidance that comes through faith. This doesn’t mean I always receive clear answers immediately, but there's a lasting peace that comes from trusting God’s heart and His wisdom rather than my limited human perspective. I’ve learned that trust isn’t about having all the answers or a perfectly mapped-out plan. Instead, it’s about surrendering control and believing that God is actively guiding and protecting my journey—even when the path ahead seems uncertain. This shifts the pressure off me and helps reduce the loneliness that often comes with big life choices. In everyday moments, small acts of trust build a stronger foundation for when bigger decisions arise. Whether it’s through reading scripture, engaging in supportive community, or reflecting in solitude, each practice reinforces a mindset of trusting beyond what I can see or understand. If you find yourself struggling with doubt, I encourage you to approach the process with gentleness—giving yourself permission to feel uncertain while choosing to step forward in faith anyway. Trust, in this sense, becomes a pathway to peace. It invites us to walk forward from a place of confident surrender, knowing that God’s heart is vast and His love is constant. Ultimately, that promise makes the journey not just bearable, but deeply meaningful.
