Hey everyone! It's always such a blast connecting with fans, and I absolutely loved my time at MCCS Comic Con in Okinawa, especially getting to meet so many of you who love Toph Beifong as much as I do. Voicing Toph, the Greatest Earthbender in the World, for Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender has been an incredible journey, and it's truly surreal to see how much she means to people around the globe. Attending events like Comic Con, especially on a base like Camp Foster, is always a unique experience. While the main public event was on Sunday, December 14th, it was cool to hear about the exclusive Gold Pass event on Saturday, December 13th for some early bird attendees. For the rest of you, Sunday was the big day, packed with fun from 10 AM to 5 PM. I was mainly in the Fieldhouse building, ready to chat and share some behind-the-scenes tidbits. It's moments like these that really bring the magic of voice acting to life. You spend so much time in a booth, imagining these characters, and then you get to see the impact they've had on people. Hearing your stories and seeing your cosplay, whether it’s a detailed Toph outfit or just a cool Avatar-themed t-shirt, is incredibly rewarding. I always try to bring some cute prints and posters, and sometimes even a couple of Toph Funko Pops for you to snag. It's a great way to take a little piece of the memory home with you. If you're ever thinking about attending a Comic Con, whether it's MCCS Okinawa or elsewhere, I highly recommend it. It's not just about meeting actors; it's a huge celebration of fandom, creativity, and community. There are always so many talented artists, comic book creators, and cosplayers. Plus, you never know what kind of unique programming they'll have, from gaming buildings to exhibitor halls. For anyone aspiring to get into voice acting or even just curious about it, these conventions are fantastic for networking and learning. While I might not be on the main stage singing every time, I'm always happy to answer questions and share my experiences. Remember, the journey of becoming a 'voice' is filled with passion, practice, and a little bit of luck. Keep believing in yourself, just like Toph would! Thanks again to everyone who came out. It means the world to me to share these moments with you. Keep an eye on okinawa.usmc-mccs.org for future events, and who knows, maybe I'll see you again soon, Twinkle Toes!
