Title: everything we do in life start with a thought. This is why we need to let the mind of Christ be in us letting the mind of Christ be in us is our help until we stop breathing.
In my bible study this morning the Holy Spirit illuminated Scripture with profound insights, echoing the apostles' and prophets' mission to transform minds, attitudes, and lifestyles, empowering us to embrace positive change in 2026 and beyond we can tell by our behavior who we are listening to.
Romans 12:2
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind": The word "transformed" translates from the Greek metamorphoō (the same word used for the transfiguration of Jesus). It indicates a fundamental, inside-out change in character and conduct, achieved continuously through scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.
Transforming the mind is an ongoing journey that profoundly shapes our lives. From my personal experience, allowing the mind of Christ to take root has not only changed my thoughts but also influenced my actions and relationships. The scripture from Romans 12:2 reminds us that true transformation comes from within, by renewing our mindset rather than copying worldly behaviors. This renewal process is deeply connected to spiritual disciplines such as prayer, meditation on Scripture, and openness to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. In fact, the Greek term metamorphoō used for transformation emphasizes a complete change akin to Jesus’ transfiguration—this highlights that our transformation is not superficial but a deep, fundamental change in character. Additionally, understanding that satan and demonic influences aim to disrupt this transformation strengthens our resolve to keep Christ’s mind at the center of our thoughts. John 8:36 says, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed,” reminding us that true freedom and renewed thinking come through Christ alone. In my own journey, I found that regularly reflecting on God’s word and consciously choosing to think according to His truth helps to break old patterns and align my life with His will. This ongoing process leads to clearer discernment, peace, and the ability to make decisions that please God. Embracing this mindset before 2026 sets a positive foundation for the new year and beyond, equipping us to face challenges with strength and confidence rooted in spiritual renewal. If you're seeking lasting change, I encourage you to start by welcoming the mind of Christ into your daily thoughts and actions.
