The verse is a plea for God to remove David's enemies from the roll of the living and to exclude them from the community of the faithful.
Physical Life: In the Old Testament, the "book of the living" typically refers to physical life on earth. Therefore, David’s curse is a vivid way of asking for his enemies to experience physical death or defeat.
Connection to the "Book of Life": In the New Testament and later theology, this concept expands into the Book of Life, symbolizing eternal salvation. In David’s prayer, he is asking that these unrepentant, wicked individuals be completely disinherited from God's grace and denied eternal peace.

Please start thinking about your souls final address so it is in the natural so it is in the spiritual. We have a address in the natural. We will have a address in the spirit in eternity that I just need to be the new Jerusalem not the lake of fire Jehovah gave us a visual of physical fire. All of us have a stove. None of us will put our hand in that fire. You should not let satan put your soul in the lake of fire.
 The Book of Life: This is the registry of those who have trusted in Jesus for salvation. If a person's name is in this book, they are spared from the second death the second death is when the person soul die if anybody so die, it’s the person fault for not caring about the true them their soul
The Lake of Fire: This concept is deeply tied to the "Valley of Hinnom" (Gehenna) outside Jerusalem. Historically, this valley was a place of burning refuse and bodies, which later served as an apocalyptic metaphor for ultimate destruction.
Take note this is the good news. Jehovah did not make the lake of fire or hell for our souls. Those places was made for those angels that got kicked out of heaven they are diabolical angels now.

I once struggled with the fear of spiritual loss, wondering what it truly meant to have my name in this divine record. Studying scriptures like Daniel 12:1 and Revelation 20:14-15 helped me grasp that it’s not just about avoiding eternal punishment, but about entering a blessed state in the New Jerusalem. The lake of fire, often misunderstood, is not a place intended for human souls but for rebel angels. This distinction gave me peace, emphasizing God’s desire for our salvation rather than condemnation. Moreover, I found that regular reflection on Psalm 69:28, which calls to erase the names of the wicked, challenged me to live in alignment with faith and righteousness. Knowing that our spiritual address matters as much as our earthly one urged me to nurture a living relationship with God daily. The imagery of a stove fire used by Jehovah to symbolize the lake of fire truly helped me internalize the seriousness of spiritual choices – just as no one willingly places their hand in fire, we should avoid paths leading to spiritual destruction. In everyday life, this teaching encourages me to act with integrity, compassion, and obedience to divine principles, affirming that our eternal destiny is shaped by our choices and faith. I encourage everyone to contemplate this 'final address' and strive to have their name firmly inscribed in the Book of Life, ensuring that their soul remains safe from the second death and enjoys eternal peace and joy.
