The Bible in my hand is the Bible the Holy Spirit taught me how to read out of i was 25 when i learned how to read one of the best things that happened to me before i biblically repented.
People asked me why do i put a pic with the sermons? It’s stuck to me we have to be mindful. We should not let ungodly things stick to us.
The children ministry that i went to the Pastor always had pics with his sermon and that’s how i gathered some type of understanding of biblical things because i couldn’t read the Holy Spirit taught me how to read out of a living translation Bible in 1998. I was in Bushwick projects on the 13th floor in Brooklyn, New York i remembered what the the Pastor told me when i was nine he said you’re going to be a Pastor i got on the transit system from Brooklyn to the Bronx, from the Bronx back to Brooklyn seven days a week, preaching and teaching the gospel. I was a wet shirt, lost preacher i will never forget what the Holy Spirit done for me somebody need to know Yahweh don’t show favoritism man does.
Romans 2:11
For God does not show favoritism.
Take note in its historical context, the Apostle Paul was dismantling the Jewish assumption that their heritage, circumcision, and possession of the Law of Moses provided an automatic "free pass" or favoritism in God's eyes.

Read moreReflecting on my journey of learning to read the Bible through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I realize how crucial spiritual mentorship and personal experience are in understanding scripture deeply. When I was a young child, attending children’s ministry where the pastor used visual aids really helped me grasp biblical lessons, even before I could fully read the Bible myself. This taught me the importance of using relatable tools to connect with spiritual truths.
Years later, living in the challenging environment of the Bushwick projects in Brooklyn, the encouragement I received as a child came alive. Despite obstacles, I dedicated myself to traveling between Brooklyn and the Bronx every day, preaching and sharing the gospel—something I never imagined I could do. This experience proved that dedication combined with the Holy Spirit’s guidance can break down barriers, including those of literacy and circumstance.
Romans 2:11 reminds us that God does not show favoritism, a profound truth that challenges human biases and societal divisions. It’s a lesson that resonates deeply in my life, especially as I witnessed how man’s prejudices often contrast God’s impartial love. Understanding this scripture in its original context dismantled any misconception that heritage or outward religious identity grants special divine favor. It’s a call for all believers to embrace humility and recognize that God judges by the heart.
In sharing this personal testimony, I hope to encourage others who might feel lost or hindered by their backgrounds or limitations. The Holy Spirit can teach and transform anyone willing to seek truth with an open heart. The key is to remain mindful and not let negative influences “stick” to us, as I learned through my practice of pairing sermons with images to reinforce spiritual focus.
Ultimately, faith is a journey enriched by both personal experience and scriptural wisdom. By embracing these lessons, anyone can grow closer to God and share His message effectively, just as I continue striving to do every day.
