The Works of the Flesh" vs. "The Fruit of the Spirit"
Divine insight: not being kind is the counterfeit fruit of those evil spirit’s that got kicked out of heaven.
Thought.
Some people take people kindness for a weakness it’s nothing weak about kind people and some people look for kind people to attempt to get over on them sad but true no one knows what a person had to go through to arrive at being kind, kind people ain’t a doormat. They are just kind people that should respect, kind people we should not disrespect, kind people in no state or country.
Kindness is a fundamental human value characterized by being friendly, generous, and considerate. It involves intentionally acting in a compassionate and helpful manner toward others—often without the expectation of personal gain or transactional reward.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Divine story time.
In Galatians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul outlines nine specific character traits—collectively called the "fruit of the Spirit"—produced in a believer's life. This passage provides a practical, internal measure of a person's spiritual maturity and connection to God.
Life in the Spirit: Paul sets up a contrast between two distinct ways of living: yielding to the "flesh" (human nature's selfish, sinful desires) and yielding to the "Spirit" (the Holy Spirit guiding a person's life).
Reflecting on the profound message from Galatians 5:22-23, I've come to appreciate how the fruit of the Spirit truly shapes daily life and relationships. Kindness, often misunderstood as weakness by some, is actually a profound strength that reflects a heart aligned with the Holy Spirit. I have personally witnessed how embodying kindness, patience, and gentleness in challenging situations not only strengthens my own faith but also inspires positive change in others. Living in the Spirit means actively choosing to resist the selfish urges of the flesh and instead nurturing qualities like love, joy, and self-control. This internal transformation helps me navigate conflicts with grace and build meaningful connections based on respect and compassion. The Apostle Paul’s words serve as a timeless reminder that true kindness goes beyond superficial gestures. It is a deliberate, courageous choice to extend generosity and understanding, even when it might be exploited. This awareness has encouraged me to maintain healthy boundaries while remaining open-hearted. Furthermore, realizing the spiritual battle between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit has deepened my prayer life. Asking for the Spirit’s guidance helps me grow in authenticity and resist negativity tied to the counterfeit 'fruit' produced by harmful influences. In summary, embracing the fruit of the Spirit enriches our lives far beyond personal gain. It nurtures a community grounded in love and respect, reflecting divine goodness in every act of kindness and self-control.
