how to make your ipad aesthetic tutorial! ✨

2025/1/14 Edited to

... Read moreEver since I saw those gorgeous aesthetic iPad setups online, I knew I had to try it myself! My old iPad home screen was just… functional, but boring. I wanted something that reflected my personality and made me smile every time I picked it up. This tutorial shares exactly how I achieved my dream aesthetic iPad, and guess what? You can do it too, without spending a dime! First things first, to make your iPad aesthetic for free, you'll need a few key apps: 'Widgetsmith' or 'Color Widgets' for custom widgets, and the built-in 'Shortcuts' app for changing app icons. Pinterest is your best friend for finding inspiration – search for 'aesthetic iPad wallpaper,' 'cute app icons,' or 'iPad home screen ideas' to get started. I usually pick a color palette or a specific theme, like 'cozy fall' or 'minimalist pastel,' to keep everything cohesive. Let’s talk about widgets! This is where you can really personalize your iPad. With Widgetsmith, you can create custom photo widgets, calendar widgets, battery widgets, and more. I love adding a large photo widget of my favorite scenery or a motivational quote. For smaller details, I use medium calendar widgets and small battery widgets, making sure their fonts and colors match my chosen theme. Experiment with different sizes and information to see what works best for your daily use. It's all about making your iPad look cool while staying practical. Next up: custom app icons. This sounds daunting, but it’s surprisingly simple using the Shortcuts app. Find or create app icons that fit your aesthetic – there are tons of free icon packs available online. Once you have your images, open Shortcuts, tap the '+' to create a new shortcut, then 'Add Action,' and search for 'Open App.' Choose the app you want to customize. Then, tap the three dots in the top right, 'Add to Home Screen,' and select your custom icon from your photos. It's a bit time-consuming, but the result is totally worth it for a truly aesthetic iPad setup. Finally, the layout and organization! Don’t just throw your new icons and widgets anywhere. Think about how you use your iPad. Place your most-used apps and widgets on your main home screen. Group related apps into folders if you need to, and consider using Smart Stacks to save space while still accessing multiple widgets. I found that having a clean top row with key information widgets and then grouping my apps by function (e.g., 'Creativity,' 'Social,' 'Learning') really helped create an organized iPad aesthetic. Don't forget your wallpaper! A matching wallpaper ties everything together beautifully. I love using images from Unsplash or Pinterest that complement my icon and widget colors. Remember, it's a tutorial sharing on iPad aesthetics, so have fun with it and make it uniquely yours!
