🍓 | Finally tried Pöonsti!

hi lemon8 bbs 🍓 went to poonsti today and here’s my honest thoughts!

🐟 salmon cured rosti $19

this was so yumss!! the house cured salmon went so well with the rosti and i finally get why it’s one of the crowd favourites ⋆˚࿔ the rosti was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making each bite a perfect balance of texture and flavour <3 would def return to try their smashed avo rosti that’s also highly raved!

🍝 carbonara $18

this carbonara was so thick and flavourful 😮‍💨 my friend, a carbonara lover really liked this and rated this an 8.5/10!! i loved how well the mushroom went with the al dente pasta. the bacon had a charred honey taste, though I would’ve preferred it a little softer ><

🥔 tater tots $10

these came out hot and crispy, and went really well with the sauce provided. weren’t too oily too~

everything was super hearty and my favourite was definitely the salmon rosti!! was a happy and filling lunch, WORTH the hype!!

PÖONSTI (OWEN ROAD)

... Read moreIf you’re looking for a solid rosti spot around NUS, Pöonsti really stands out with its unique house-cured salmon rosti that offers a delightful texture and flavor balance. From personal experience, the rosti is crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside, making each bite enjoyable. The carbonara also impressed me, especially its creamy sauce combined with mushrooms and al dente pasta, although the bacon could be a bit softer to suit some tastes. Apart from these dishes, the tater tots are a nice side—hot, crispy, and not overly greasy, complemented well by their signature sauce. The ambience at Pöonsti feels cozy and casual, perfect for a satisfying lunch or casual catch-up. Plus, it’s conveniently located near NUS, making it easily accessible for students and visitors. For those curious about the menu, Pöonsti offers other favorites such as smashed avocado rosti and various café-style offerings, which come highly recommended by regulars. It’s worth exploring their full menu if you enjoy hearty, flavorful meals. Overall, Pöonsti strikes a good balance between price, taste, and portion sizes, making it a popular café for rosti lovers and foodies around Singapore’s university area. Whether you’re after a filling lunch or a casual brunch spot, Pöonsti is definitely a place to check out.

Bottega di Carna is undoubtedly one of the highly rated Italian restaurants in Singapore and we finally tried it! It’s a small restaurant located within a hotel with a open kitchen concept. The ambience was really nice and romantic (especially during the night) with a stunning rotating centerpie
