hey 🍋 lovelies!

been making my own matcha at home since february this year and i’m still very much obsessed 😩 i’ve even made matcha for my friends 🤭

i started experimenting with naoki, marukyu koyamaen, yamamasa koyamaen and now kanbayashi shunsho! ‧₊ ᵎᵎ 🍒 ⋅ ˚✮

favourite blend:

• yk’s shikibu no mukashi 🥹

i have 2 cans of this because it’s so so good!!! super full bodied, umami, little to no astringency and packs a punch, highly recommend matcha lovers to try

for everyday drinking:

• kanbayashi shunsho’s aya no mori ⋆.˚

this is slightly more affordable as it’s priced for around $66 on the orange app for 100g! aya no mori has chocolatey, nutty notes to it and has little to no astringency in a latte ✶⋆.˚

🍵 my personal ratio 🍵

• 4g matcha

• 45-50ml of warm water (mix into paste first!!)

• add honey for sweetener if needed

• 100g milk (i use oatside!)

current favourite concoction would def be mango matcha 🥭 !! my bf made the mango purée for me with frozen mango and honey, then simmering it on low heat ⋆˙⟡

another special mix i’ve tried is yakult matcha! this drink clears your bowels so fast 🤭 i used a whole bottle of apple flavoured yakult but i feel like the apple overpowered the matcha a lot :( would use a little less yakult next time if i make this again!

i also have ippodo’s nodoka matcha that i’ve yet to try, but i also really want to try ippodo’s ikuyo! if there’s any matcha that y’all recommend do let me know in the comments!! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
