📍 kobashi coffeehouse

been wanting to try out this place for the longest time and i finally made my way down!! do remember to make a reservation as there was a queue when we went ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪

spicy seafood linguine ($25)

this was so so rich and the prawns were soo fresh!! almost felt like i was eating hae mee (prawn noodles) because the prawn flavour is THAT STRONG. definitely preferred this over the creamy rose mafaldine ⋆。𖦹 ˚

creamy rose mafaldine ($25)

omg the chicken??? the pieces were huge, super tender, and insanely juicy…🤤 the mafaldine held onto the rose sauce so well, which made every bite sooo satisfying. you HAVEEE to try the chicken when you come!!!! ⭑。𖦹°‧

fried calamari ($18)

everything was so fresh and i appreciate how light and crispy the batter was. the calamari paired really well with the tartar sauce, and i really enjoyed this ᯓ★

honey matcha milk foam ($9)

omg this was surprisingly gooodd!! i

the milk foam had a slight salty note that balanced everything so nicely, while the honey brought in a gentle sweetness. loovedd this drink ˚°❀⋆

earl grey matcha ($9)

if you like earl grey, you’ll definitely like this! the earl grey is definitely on the stronger side, slightly overpowering the matcha .ೃ࿔*:・

overall, their portions are huge and everything tasted really fresh. definitely a good place to come with your friends if you’re in the area!

What struck me most was the generous portion sizes; it's reassuring to know you get great value alongside quality. The spicy seafood linguine stood out due to its intense prawn flavor, reminiscent of traditional hae mee, which is quite rare to find in a pasta. If you're a fan of robust seafood tastes, this dish will definitely satisfy your cravings. On the other hand, the creamy rose mafaldine with its tender chicken pieces impressed me with its ability to balance richness without being overwhelming. Each bite coated in the rose sauce was satisfyingly smooth, showcasing how well the pasta held the sauce. For seafood lovers, the fried calamari was a surprise highlight—lightly battered, crunchy, and paired beautifully with tartar sauce, which cut through the richness nicely. Pairing your meal with their honey matcha milk foam is highly recommended if you appreciate unique drinks. The slight salty note of the milk foam combined with honey offered a delicate balance that both intrigued and pleased the palate. If you prefer stronger tea flavors, the earl grey matcha was notable, though the boldness of earl grey tea slightly dominated the matcha's subtlety. An important tip: make sure to reserve a spot before you go, as the place is quite popular and queues are common. Whether you're going for a casual outing or a cozy meal with friends, Kobashi Coffeehouse provides a welcoming atmosphere alongside fresh, flavorful dishes that leave you planning your next visit.

craving for handmade pastas? come here ✨
Unfortunately, yes. We came around 8.30pm and it was fully reserved, but the staff told us we could try for an open seat around 9/9.15pm — and yes there was!!! We got bar seats and honestly the ambience was very vibrant, abit of a tighter space but we got live cooking right in front of us 🤪
