MTM Medical Transport
I’m in a program called CCS (Comprehensive Community Services), and my county makes us use MTM medical transport to get to my appointments. I’ve had problems ever since I started this. My first ride with MTM was in the beginning of June, and since then I’ve had them weekly. Now, in the beginning of August, they still haven’t worked it out. Either the driver shows up in the wrong place, at the wrong time, or doesn’t show up at all. And I’m left to deal with the backlash. I miss my appointments, and it gives me extra stress on top of back to school (and my first year of high school) nerves. The entire time I’ve worked with them, I’ve had two rides work out without any bumps, and when there is a mistake, the company refuses to help me fix it. I’m planning on filling out a grievance form, but I don’t know if that will help or what else I can do until I’m able to do that. If there’s anyone who’s having the same problems, or who knows how to help, please let me know.

Navigating medical transportation can be daunting, especially when facing unreliable services like MTM. Many users have reported similar frustrations with MTM, often highlighting issues such as incorrect pick-up times and missed appointments. These challenges not only disrupt access to critical healthcare but also elevate stress levels for individuals already dealing with health-related issues. If you're in a situation where transportation is managed through programs like CCS, understanding your options is essential. Filling out grievance forms can be a useful step in seeking resolution, but it’s also helpful to engage with community forums or local advocacy groups. These platforms can provide emotional support and practical advice on how to deal with transport problems effectively. Additionally, consider reaching out directly to MTM for clarifications on their policies and procedures. If issues persist, exploring alternative transportation options, including rideshare services or community support programs, may alleviate the burden. Remember, it’s crucial to communicate your needs clearly to ensure you receive the service necessary for your well-being.
