Don’t strive, thrive for 40 years and older.
I’m over 40 and I practice what I put here. (I’ve lost 50lbs without weight loss drugs by sticking to a workout regimen and changing my dietary needs. What keeps me motivated is joining different challenges from Apple to Fitbit to Strava to Stridekick) I consider myself a hybrid athlete as I love running, cycling as well as other things. I’m not a personal trainer. I do research and apply to my goals.

❇️ Pro-Tips for Your 40s:
🔹 1 Prioritize Protein: Ensure you are getting adequate protein post-workout to support muscle repair, as muscle mass naturally begins to decline in this decade.
🔹 2 Listen to Your Joints: If you feel sharp pain (not muscle soreness), scale back the intensity. Switch to the elliptical if high-impact moves are causing discomfort.
🔹3 The "Talk Test": During cardio, you should be able to speak in short sentences. If you are gasping, slow down.
🔹 4 Warm-ups & Cool-downs: Never skip these. Spend at least 5-10 minutes warming up your joints before lifting or doing high-intensity cardio to prevent injury.
🔹 5 Consistency Over Intensity: It is better to have a moderate workout you can sustain for years than an intense one that leads to injury after a month.
Disclaimer: Before beginning any new exercise program, it is recommended to consult with your physician or a healthcare provider, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
