We bought these a few weeks ago and just got the chance to try them for an easy lunch the other day. My honest opinion is that they’re DELICIOUS! Slightly radioactive looking orange color but i’m hoping that’s from the sweet potato and other veggies. It doesn’t taste like kraft exactly, but it’s not a noticeable enough difference to say i’d prefer one or the other. To me at least. Definitely a yummy alternative to kraft when you’re looking for something equally easy but more nutritious

... Read moreAfter trying Goodles for the first time, I was really curious to dig deeper into what makes this cheesy pasta different. Like many of you, I'm always on the lookout for quick, easy, and better-for-you meal options, especially when feeding a family.
One of the first things that caught my eye on the light blue box was the promise of more protein and fiber. The original review mentioned the slightly "radioactive" orange color, but it's reassuring to know that's often from ingredients like sweet potato and other veggies packed into the noodles. This really addresses the “nutritional expectations” question that many parents and health-conscious eaters have. Traditional mac and cheese, while delicious, isn't usually celebrated for its nutrient density. Goodles aims to bridge that gap, offering a comfort food classic with an added boost. For me, knowing my family is getting a little extra goodness, even in a quick meal, is a huge benefit. It makes me feel better about serving it for an easy lunch.
When it comes to taste and texture, the comparison to Kraft is inevitable. My initial thought was that while Goodles isn't exactly the same, the difference isn't so stark that it makes one wildly superior to the other. Goodles has its own distinct, creamy, cheesy flavor that I found genuinely enjoyable. It feels a bit more robust than some other boxed mac and cheese options. For those wondering about “alternatives” or “competitor comparison,” I'd say Goodles stands strong. It holds its own against traditional varieties while also stepping up as a more nutritious choice compared to many other boxed brands out there that don't offer the same fiber and protein benefits. It’s definitely a strong contender if you’re looking to upgrade your pantry staples without sacrificing taste.
And speaking of family meals, this is where Goodles really shines for me. The idea of an “easy family meal” is paramount in a busy household. Preparing Goodles is just as straightforward as any other boxed mac, making it perfect for those hectic weeknights. What elevates it further is how easily it can be part of a more balanced meal. I love seeing it served up on a baby's plate or my plate alongside some healthy additions. For instance, pairing the orange macaroni with some chopped sausage for extra protein, and a vibrant side of fresh blueberries, grapes, and strawberries (just like I've seen in some awesome meal ideas!), turns a simple side into a wholesome main course. This makes it incredibly kid-friendly and a practical solution for getting more nutrition into little ones without a fuss.
Finally, let's talk about whether Goodles is “worth the price.” It's true that Goodles often comes with a slightly higher price tag than conventional macaroni and cheese. However, given its enhanced nutritional profile—more protein, more fiber, and ingredients from real vegetables—I personally feel the added cost is justified. It's an investment in a quicker, healthier option for busy days. If you're evaluating if it's “worth it” for your family, consider the convenience, the improved nutrition, and the genuinely good taste. For our household, it's definitely found its place as a go-to for a satisfying and relatively guilt-free meal.
