私も母親として、かつては自分の時間や気持ちを後回しにして、家族のために“我慢”することが当たり前のように感じていました。しかし、ふとした瞬間に「母親＝犠牲」ではなく「母親＝家庭の主役」であることに気づいたのです。実際、母親がいなければ家族の生活は成り立たず、まさに舞台を回す役割を担っています。 社会や家庭の中で「母親だから仕方ない」と自分の感情を抑え込むことは、多くの母親が経験することですが、それが積もり積もるとストレスや疲労感につながります。私自身、寝不足で辛い時に「わがまま」と言われることもありましたが、そんな辛さを抱えながらも見えない努力を 続けているのが母親の現実です。 だからこそ、母親は脇役でも犠牲でもなく、家族の“主役”であり、自分自身の人生も主体的に生きるべきだと考えています。完全在宅で知識ゼロからでも始められる働き方を取り入れ、子育てしながら自分の時間や経済的自立を得ることも可能です。私の経験から言えば、周囲の理解を得つつ、自分の幸せや夢も大切にすることが、家族全体の笑顔や安定にもつながります。 母親だからと我慢するだけでなく、もっと自分自身を大切にし、家族のサポート役ではなく自分の人生の主役として生きましょう。そのための一歩として、自宅での働き方や新しい選択肢を模索することもおすすめです。母親が笑顔で輝ける毎日は、家族全体に豊かさをもたらしてくれます。
