Remember to match the activation date with your key collection date and confirm any appointment changes beforehand to avoid complications. Booking your BSC Defect Check appointment as soon as your project allows is another time-saving tip. Coordinate with your chosen defect inspector, if any, to secure an appropriate timeslot. The inspection slots fill up quickly once booking opens, so acting promptly will help you get a convenient time. While some suggest bringing a printed key collection letter, in my case, the officer had everything prepared electronically, so it was not necessary. But if you want to keep a printed appointment letter as a keepsake or to be extra cautious, that’s up to your preference. Lastly, make sure both applicants bring their NRICs (or Singpass digital ID) for verification, and have the PayLah! app ready to pay the first month's town council fees electronically; note that PayNow and credit card payments are not accepted for this transaction. This streamlined approach allowed me to complete the key collection within 20 minutes, minimizing waiting and administrative hassle.
