📚 things I wish I knew before college Pt. 2 📚
✨Here’s the pt 2 of things I wish I knew before college… what’s something you wish you knew? ✨
• skipping class: so we all know that in college you can skip class to some degree, but my advice would be not to do it without cause! This is one reason why many people start failing unfortunately 😔 it becomes a habit for many, so don’t skip without a cause, or only do it on occasion (in my classes I can actually only miss 3 classes before my grade drops)
•partying: if you are one who parties, that’s okay! If you don’t, that’s okay too! Just remember, it’s not what you should be in college for! You also DO NOT have to party to be “cool” or because someone says so. It’s perfectly fine to be in college and not party, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise 🫶 (there are plenty of ways to have fun without as well).
• 8AMs: everyone dreads going to classes in the mornings, I know. I’ve had 8am classes all of college and honestly, they aren’t so bad after a while! Sometimes it’s nice to get the classes out of the way early and have a free afternoon. You can do it!
• Late or not at all?: when it comes to assignments being late, you would rather have them be a day or two late than not at all! Just like skipping class though, don’t make a habit it out it! It’s hard to come back from if you do (from experience)
• picking a major: when you are picking a major, make sure it is something that you love! This is a job you will potentially be doing for the rest of your life! Don’t just look at the money, look at your happiness as well! Quality >>> Quantity 💸.
