What I wish I knew before graduating college ..
1. Just because you graduated doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get your dream job:This is something I have been struggling with myself and im trying not to be discouraged. Things take time! Give yourself grace and always remember good things come to those that wait <3
2. Networking is important: In certain cases, networking may open doors more quickly than a degree. Networking can help lead you to job opportunities, collaborations, mentorships, and even allow you to get different perspectives on projects or engagements which will encourage individual development. In general, networking is critical for personal growth, economic success, and professional advancement.
3. Comparison is the thief of joy: You may think that your turn will never come as you see your peers succeed in their careers. Learn to celebrate your own achievements no matter how big or small. Limit exposure to comparison triggers such as social media.
4. Get a head start**: Start applying to jobs early. Starting early can allow you to build a professional NETWORK. Trying out different jobs or internships can help you clarify your career goals and determine what you enjoy and excel at.
5. Don’t be a know it all: Remember the power of lifelong learning and that there is always room for growth. Graduating college is just the beginning; continuous learning and skill development are key to staying relevant in your field.
Should I make a part 2❓
Hope this helps!!!

Graduating college can be exhilarating, but it often comes with unexpected challenges. Many new graduates quickly realize that landing their dream job is not as straightforward as they imagined. It is important to remain patient and kind to oneself as the job search process can be long and often discouraging. Building a professional network is crucial—many job opportunities arise through connections rather than traditional job applications. Engaging in informational interviews, attending industry events, and leveraging social media platforms can open invaluable doors. Moreover, it's vital to celebrate personal milestones rather than getting caught up in the successes of peers. Social media can intensify feelings of inadequacy, but focusing on individual progress fosters a healthier mindset. Being proactive in the job hunt also helps clarify career ambitions; internships and part-time roles provide experience and insight into what one truly enjoys. Most importantly, graduates should embrace lifelong learning. The workplace is continually evolving, and staying updated with new skills and knowledge is essential. It’s not uncommon for professionals to feel outpaced, but continuous improvement helps maintain relevance and opens up new career paths. Considering future education or certification programs can significantly enhance job prospects. Overall, navigating life after college requires resilience, adaptability, and a supportive community.

personally I need to see this. I'm thinking about going back to school for the fourth time and I'm finally set on what I want to do and I'm scared to not find a job or internship
