My priority was a vet visit to check for a microchip (always hoping to reunite them with a previous owner, if possible!) and to get her a thorough check-up. We found her to be a healthy girl, just in need of a good bath and some TLC. It's a huge relief to know they're healthy and clear of any previous homes. Bringing Starfruit home was incredible. Creating a cozy, safe space for her was essential, starting with a soft spot like a pink knitted blanket she could call her own. The transformation from a wary stray to a pampered house cat has been astounding. She went from being cautious outdoors to now resting her head on my arm, purring contentedly. Every day is a joy watching her explore, play, and just be herself. Having a cat 'choose' you feels different. There's a unique bond, a sense of destiny, almost. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best things in life aren’t planned, they just happen. Starfruit is truly the prettiest cat I've ever seen, and I'm so grateful the distribution system decided she belonged with me.
