Got CATFISHED HARD‼️
It was a normal Friday evening where I was getting ready to go out on a date with a guy I’d met on a dating app. He was tall, seemed nice enough, was older than me and seemed VERYYY interested in me 👀
We met on one of the evenings he was free, despite me not liking to do dates in the evening. Especially for first dates, bc I thought that it’s too romantic and that’s pressure i don’t likee!!!
I broke this rule for him however. alas I’d come to regret it, along with ALL of my life decisions THE MOMENT WE MET 💔💔
Worst part was before the date I already had a nagging feeling I shouldn’t be goinggg!! He was showing red flags through text already that I MISSED 🫤
So anyways, me and the guy have a 6year age gap right. I think I dress my age (<21) but the dude definitely dressed vv maturely.
Like at least 30yo that kind 😭 it made me feel weird, plus he really reminded me of my dad!!!
❗️IT WAS SO BADDDD❗️
while we were eating he also kept asking me questions like:
-do I look too old
-do you think I’m too old
-what do you like in a guy
-do you like if a guy does [example] x10
:// I told him to stop asking me questions like that.
It made me feel like he’s trying gather info to build a fake character, and plus it just felt like i was getting interviewed??!
Told him to STOP at least 3 times! he didn’t stop. It was a non-stop round AFTER round of QUESTIONINGGGGGG the entire date 🥴
In the end, after the date (and bail out from my bestie) I blocked him!!!
Not my proudest moment 😵💫 I usually send a nice text at the end of my dates, even if it didn’t work out. But this one made me feel super affected afterwards :/
the following day I asked a few people on what I should’ve done, what they thought etc, they said he was in a rush to settle down, that’s why he just wanted to quickly do over with the getting to know each other part. ((A few friends SHUDDERED when I showed them his pic 🤮😳🤢
Is that why another friend told me to not go for much older guys? there’s more cons for dating older guys? Like for eg they got ego/they can’t get girls their age?
What do you guys think? Should I limit the age range? Any advice for OLD in the future? Thanks in advance 💓

Honestly age gap very subjective, is really up to your preference. However, older guys may have the intention of settle down like you’ve said. I would say just make your intention clear . Like the fact that you hop on a dating app. Most people would assume you want to be attached.
