real moment as a college student during finals

hi guys! this is something that is pretty embarrassing to me. I often pride myself in being able to take care of myself and being able to keep my room clean. This last semester has been a very long emotional train wreck and as it comes to an end, i find myself struggling to even wake up in the morning.

i want to be as real as i possibly can be because sometimes college isn’t as fun and glamorous as some people make it. there are some days where you can hardly get up in the morning and there are days where you’ll fail a test and go home and cry. this is NORMAL!

just because your life doesn’t feel as glamorous as the photos doesn’t mean you’re not succeeding.

social media glamorizes things so don’t ever feel like you are less than what you are!

you’ve got this!

... Read moreAs finals approach, many college students experience heightened stress levels. It's important to prioritize mental health during this time, which can often feel isolating. Remember that reaching out to friends or peers can provide support and enhance your study experiences. Moreover, maintaining a well-balanced routine—incorporating breaks, exercise, and healthy meals—can improve focus and retention of information. Beyond academics, practicing self-compassion is vital. You are not alone in this whirlwind of emotions, and acknowledging that struggle is a step towards resilience. Creating a study plan can help organize your time effectively, making the workload seem less daunting. Lastly, if you're finding it tough to cope, consider speaking with campus resources like counselling services. They can offer strategies to manage stress and boost your motivation. Remember, finals season may bring challenges, but you have the tools within you to face them and succeed. Keep pushing through; your efforts will pay off as you transition to the next chapter in your academic journey.
