The Secret I’ve Never Told Anyone…
I started my GLP-1 journey in October 2024 at 221 pounds. I was prediabetic, and my doctor warned me about the risks—but my insurance wouldn’t cover treatment. That moment hit hard. I knew I had to invest in myself, even if no one else would.
I’ve tried everything—keto, dieting, exercising (which I seriously don’t enjoy). Nothing stuck. I had also gone through some personal stuff that pulled me into a dark place. I stopped taking pictures. I didn’t even recognize myself anymore.
Today, I’m 191 pounds. I still have 30 more to go, but for the first time in a long time, I look in the mirror and feel proud. I’m learning to have a regular, balanced relationship with food—even as someone who loves to cook.
This isn’t for anyone else. It’s for me. And if you’re on a journey too, I see you. I’m rooting for you.
