best matcha in east village? 👀💚

so where is this?

this is 📍 Kijitora E14th, 534 E 14th St, New York, NY 10009

i got the chestnut matcha latte and as you can see from the color, it was superb 😤😤 the only caveat is that with the change to alt milk and tax and tip this matcha cost me $10 🥲 so def not everyday matcha, but a special treat for myself once in a while..✨️

still, its a really great place to get matcha, observe stationery, and cute little thingys they have in their cozy space 💚 not the best place to sit & eat, so just make sure that you are with a small crowd, or have a place to go with the matcha in hand!

... Read moreIf you're a matcha enthusiast exploring New York City's East Village, Kijitora E14th at 534 E 14th St offers a unique experience that blends delicious drinks with charm and character. Their chestnut matcha latte stands out not only for its rich color but also for its deep, nutty flavor that pairs beautifully with alternative milk options. While it comes at a premium price point around $10 after tax and tip, it’s worth treating yourself to this special indulgence occasionally. Beyond the matcha, Kijitora offers an intriguing variety of items as indicated by their signage, including onigiri (Japanese rice balls), chai latte, hojicha latte, miso salmon, and unique iced matcha latte flavors such as strawberry and mango. This eclectic menu enhances the overall experience for visitors looking for more than just a matcha fix. The ambience is cozy and filled with charming stationery and small collectibles that add to the cafe's personality, making it a great spot for browsing and finding unique little treasures. However, seating is limited, so it’s best to visit with a small group or plan to grab your drink to go if you want to enjoy the bustling vibe of East Village. If you appreciate matcha and want to explore authentic Japanese-inspired cafe culture within NYC, Kijitora E14th is a worthwhile destination. Their dedication to quality and atmosphere makes it a hidden gem for locals and visitors alike looking to experience something beyond the mainstream coffee shops.
