Tips On Being A Success!

First of all let me start of by saying I was a bad kid 😂. I never always had it figured out, but the more I learned about myself & passion the more I started setting goals that got me here.

1. SET YOUR GOALS: Be clear on what you are trying to achieve.

2. SET STRATEGIES: Create strategies on how you will achieve your goals

3. USE A PLANNER: Please stay organized and keep yourself accountable

4. LEARN TO PIVOT: When things aren’t going the way you planned, pivot, reset, and go again.

5. DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF: Give yourself grace and understand that you’re still figuring things out! #successfulgirlera #careergirl #femalebusinessleader #womanceo #bossupgirl

... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! Building on my 5 essential steps to success that I shared earlier, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what truly helps me stay on track, especially while juggling being a CEO and pursuing my PhD on a full-ride scholarship. It's not just about setting goals; it's about having the right ecosystem of support and tools to make those goals a reality. Beyond just a physical planner, which is absolutely vital for organizing my day-to-day tasks, I’ve found that digital tools are equally essential for long-term project management and collaboration. For instance, I use tools like Notion to keep track of my research papers, project milestones, and even my personal development plans. Trello boards are fantastic for breaking down complex projects into manageable steps, assigning deadlines, and visual tracking. These aren't just gadgets; they're my digital command center, helping me manage everything from business strategies to dissertation chapters. When they ask you what I do and I say I'm a CEO who is also pursuing her PhD on a full scholarship, these are the tools that make it possible! Another crucial 'tool' that isn't physical is your mindset. My original post mentioned learning to pivot and not being hard on yourself – these are fundamental mental tools. Success isn't a straight line; it's a series of adjustments. Cultivating resilience and a growth mindset allows me to see setbacks not as failures, but as data points for improvement. When a strategy doesn't work out, instead of getting discouraged, I ask: What did I learn? How can I approach this differently? This mental flexibility is an essential step that fuels continuous progress. Furthermore, I truly believe in the 'tool' of continuous learning and mentorship. As a CEO, the business landscape is constantly evolving, and in academia, new research emerges daily. Dedicating time to reading industry reports, attending webinars, or even just listening to podcasts keeps my knowledge sharp. Finding mentors who have walked similar paths – whether in business or academia – has provided invaluable guidance and shortcuts. Their insights act as a compass, helping me navigate challenges and avoid common pitfalls, significantly accelerating my learning curve. Finally, don't underestimate the power of a strong support network. This is another 'tool' that often gets overlooked. Surrounding myself with positive, ambitious individuals who uplift and challenge me has been transformative. My study group for my PhD, my board of advisors for my company, and even my close friends all play a role in my journey. They offer encouragement, diverse perspectives, and sometimes, just a much-needed break from the grind. Remember, you don't have to achieve everything alone. By integrating these additional tools and refining these essential steps, you too can build a robust framework for achieving extraordinary success and truly thriving in whatever path you choose.
