Downtown Disney 🥰
⭐️Overall rating: /10:10
Having just returned from an incredible day at Downtown Disney, I can confidently give it a solid 10/10! If you're planning a trip and wondering 'what to do in Downtown Disney' or 'things to do in Downtown Disney,' look no further – I’ve got you covered with my top tips and favorite discoveries. It's truly a vibrant place that offers so much more than just shopping; it's an experience in itself, perfect for a fun day out without needing a park ticket. First off, let's talk about the vibe. The atmosphere is always buzzing with energy, but it's a relaxed, family-friendly kind of energy. I love just strolling through, enjoying the live music that often pops up on various stages. On my last visit, there was a fantastic jazz band near the entrance, which really set a wonderful mood. It's totally free entertainment and makes the whole area feel alive. When it comes to shopping, Downtown Disney has some unique gems. Of course, you'll find the massive World of Disney store, which is a must-visit for any Disney fan. I always find something new there, whether it's a limited-edition pin or a cute new Spirit Jersey. But don't stop there! I also adore browsing at Marceline's Confectionery for some delicious treats to take home – their caramel apples are legendary. For something a bit different, check out the various pop-up shops or small boutiques that rotate, offering unique apparel or artisanal crafts. It’s a great place to pick up souvenirs that aren't just standard park merchandise. Now, for the food and drink! This is where Downtown Disney really shines. There are options for every craving. For a quick bite, Earl of Sandwich is always a solid choice, and their Holiday Turkey sandwich is a personal favorite. If you're looking for something more substantial, Naples Ristorante e Bar offers amazing authentic Italian pizza, and their outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching. For a fun, lively atmosphere and delicious Mexican food, Tortilla Jo's is fantastic – their guacamole made right at your table is a showstopper! And for a sweet treat, definitely hit up Salt & Straw for some incredibly unique ice cream flavors. I tried their pear and blue cheese flavor last time, and it was surprisingly delightful! Don't forget to grab a specialty coffee or a refreshing drink from one of the many kiosks as you wander. Beyond shopping and eating, there are other cool activities. For instance, the Splitsville Luxury Lanes offers bowling, food, and drinks in a really swanky setting – it’s a great option if you want to do something active. Plus, they often have live entertainment. Sometimes, you'll also find street performers or character appearances, adding that extra touch of Disney magic even outside the parks. It’s always worth checking the daily schedule when you arrive. My insider tip? Go in the late afternoon/early evening. You can enjoy the shops and a meal, then watch Downtown Disney transform with all the twinkling lights at night. It’s absolutely beautiful and creates a completely different atmosphere. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends, so consider using ride-sharing services or arriving early to snag a good spot. Overall, whether you're taking a break from the parks, waiting for a reservation, or just looking for a fun evening out, Downtown Disney truly lives up to its 10/10 rating. There are endless 'things to do' and 'what to do' options to fill your day with joy and deliciousness!
