Pillowcases that won’t cause acne?

I’m looking for a type of pillowcase that will keep its cool, won’t break me out, and will not collect sweat. I have sensitive skin and the one I currently have collects sweat from my hair (sounds gross I know).

I have been looking on Amazon. My question is: which type of pillowcase should I be focusing on? Satin, cotton, mulberry, there’s so many that I have been reading on but I need to be properly educated on this topic!

... Read moreChoosing the right pillowcase can significantly affect your skin’s health, especially for those prone to acne. Pillowcases made from different materials have unique properties that contribute to skin comfort. Satin pillowcases are renowned for their smooth surface, reducing friction on the skin, which can help minimize irritation and acne breakouts. They also repel moisture effectively, making them ideal for those who sweat at night. Cotton pillowcases, on the other hand, are breathable and absorbent, promoting better airflow. While they are generally good for sensitive skin, they may retain sweat and oils more than satin alternatives. Opting for 100% cotton with a higher thread count can enhance softness and comfort while still being effective. Mulberry silk pillowcases are considered luxurious, providing a soft surface that helps maintain skin hydration and reduces friction, which is excellent for avoiding acne. They are hypoallergenic, making them a fantastic choice for sensitive skin. Ultimately, it’s essential to consider your unique skin needs alongside your comfort preferences when selecting the right pillowcase. Regular washing of your pillowcases is crucial to minimize bacteria buildup, whether you choose satin, cotton, or silk. Remember, maintaining a nightly skincare routine will work hand-in-hand with your choice of bedding to ensure the best outcomes for your skin.
