I definitely think granny is dying right before the match. I’m thinking maybe the funeral will be taking place on the day of the match or something. Her death will propel the plot forward. Kim Dan will have to go through this (the grief and planning) and leave Jaekyung alone for the fight. And Jaekyung will have to either fight without Kim Dan and deal with his jinx on his own. OR choose to be with Kim Dan because he’s what is important now. I think either way would be alright, I’m not sure which way I’d prefer. They both have their pros and cons as far as individual character development goes. We’ll see! 🫣
