welcome to our first podcast (and last) #girlsday #podcast #duckdonuts #besties
Okay, so you saw our podcast snippet about the epic girls' day donut taste test, right? Well, let me tell you, it was even crazier behind the scenes! We decided to hit up Duck Donuts for what we thought would be a chill session, but it quickly turned into a delightful, sugary marathon. Our mission? To try as many unique flavors as our bellies could handle – and trust me, we put them to the test! Before we even started, the sheer variety at Duck Donuts was overwhelming in the best way. We grabbed a box with an ambitious number of donuts, including classics like the Glazed Apple Pie and some wild cards like the Chocolate Explosion and Raspberry Fluff. And, of course, the legendary Maple Bacon – seriously, who knew bacon on a donut could taste like pancakes?! We were ready for some serious 'big belly' vibes, just from looking at the spread! As we dove in, the "overstimulating" factor kicked in pretty quick. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and we were trying to keep up with our tasting notes, but mostly just making happy noises and laughing. It wasn't just about eating; it was about the experience, the "podcast vibes with the girls" that made even the most sugary overload feel like a blast. We were rating everything, from the perfect sweetness of a vanilla with sprinkles to the unexpected savory kick of the maple bacon. Initially, we were a bit harsh with our scores, but by the end, after truly appreciating the artistry (and the sheer volume!) we'd consumed, those donut ratings definitely went up. I think they ended up around an 8.5 or 9 out of 10 – we really became doughnut lovers that day! The challenge wasn't just finding our favorite donut; it was seeing how many we could genuinely enjoy before hitting that glorious "I'm so full" wall. We were definitely feeling those "big belly" results by the end, but in the most fun, celebratory way possible. It was a testament to our friendship and our shared love for all things sweet. Plus, the drinks were a whole adventure themselves! We tried their coffee and cold brew, comparing it to our absolute favorite spot, Full Moon Brew Bar. While nothing quite beats Full Moon's cold foam and phenomenal coffee, the Duck Donuts drinks were a solid companion to our sugar rush, probably a 6 or 7 out of 10. If you’re ever planning your own donut taste test with friends, here’s my advice: go all out! Get a huge variety, don't be afraid to get a little overstimulated, and embrace the joy of indulging. It's not just about the food; it's about the memories you make. And be prepared for a serious food coma afterward – it’s part of the fun! Our bellies might have been bursting, but our hearts were full of laughter and sweet memories. It was truly an unforgettable girls' day, and even though we joked it was our 'last podcast,' I'm already dreaming of the next big food adventure!
