What to do in Whittier, Alaska

To get to Whittier, you have to drive through the longest tunnel in North America, under a mountain. It’s quite the experience!

Then there are 3 popular hikes: Portage Pass (the best one), Emerald Cove, and Horsetail Falls trail.

If you’re a foodie, there are a few seafood restaurants and cafes down Harbor Road. Get the homemade seafood chowder and fish and chips!

It’s truly an amazing snap down with beatify scenery. Make sure to do one of the water adventures like kayaking, boating, or taking a jet ski tour.
