Growing up without the consistent presence of a father is an experience that shapes much of a person's emotional and mental landscape. In my journey, I've come to understand the immense pain and challenge of missing such a vital figure, especially when combined with the loss of siblings and watching a parent endure a serious illness like stage 4 cancer. These hardships have made every day a test of endurance and faith. What helped me navigate these turbulent times was leaning into the strength of the people who remained – like my mother, who faced her battle with cancer with unyielding courage. Witnessing her resilience taught me valuable lessons about fighting for life and hope even when the odds seem insurmountable. It's a reminder that while pain is unavoidable, so too is the potential for immense growth and gratitude. A deep personal wish I hold is for my little one to grow up surrounded by love and to know that despite the absence and losses, they are deeply cherished. The desire for them to understand the strength and love in our family fuels my determination every day.
