I Started Using The Alive App: Here’s The Tea!

I recently joined a new gym and wanted a plan to follow. After browsing through a couple apps, I decided to give the alive app a try. They have a 7 day free trial which is great! Then a monthly or yearly plan & payment options.

So far I am in love with it! There are tons of different programs to follow along with different difficulty and experience levels. So no matter where you are starting from and where you want to go, there's a plan for you! The plans vary in length in terms of weeks. I am currently doing the "Legs Get IT" plan and starting with a beginner level. Just because it says beginner, doesn't mean I am not lifting heavy and challenging myself!

Major pros:

-Each day has a breakdown of the workout

-There are warm up and cool down exercises to follow, but you can opt out of those if you choose

-There are demonstration pop ups when you start your exercise so you know what it should look like

-There is a rest timer! This is amazing so you don't start procrastinating your next set and so you don't not give your body enough rest time in between

-There are substitution exercises available if you do not have the certain piece of equipment

-It is super user friendly

-It times your entire workout

I am not even a week in but I will for sure continue this after the free trial expires. Having a specific plan every time I walk into the gym helps me feel super safe and secure. The demonstrations help me feel confident and remind me of the form. I am way less worried about other people looking at me (even though I know deep down, they are not) and it is just me and my app working together. I feel supported and love having this along with me. Feeling lost in the gym is the worst and this app really helps me out, especially as a beginner and in a new environment.

... Read moreSo, you've heard about the Alive App, perhaps even seen Whitney Simmons promoting it, and you're contemplating if it's truly worth the investment and the cost. As someone who's recently embarked on this fitness journey with the app, I can offer a deeper dive into how to maximize its benefits and what to anticipate beyond the initial free trial. Beyond the beginner programs, like the 'Legs Get IT' plan I'm currently enjoying, the Alive App genuinely excels with its diverse range of offerings. Whether your goal is strength training, hypertrophy, or focusing on specific muscle groups like 'Glutes & Quads', there's an extensive library of programs available. Each program meticulously breaks down daily exercises, ensuring you're never left guessing what to do next. I've personally found it incredibly useful to browse through upcoming programs during my rest timer breaks; it helps me plan my progression and stay motivated for the next challenge. Let's get into the practical aspect: the cost. After you utilize the generous 7-day free trial, you'll be presented with options for either monthly or yearly payment plans. While exact prices can fluctuate, opting for a yearly payment typically provides significant savings. For me, it's more than just an expense; it's an investment in having a structured, expert-designed plan right at my fingertips. This saves me precious time and eliminates the anxiety of improvising at the gym. Imagine receiving a comprehensive workout plan, complete with warm-ups and cool-downs, and even smart substitution exercises for when a piece of equipment is unavailable. That's immense value, often for less than the cost of a single personal training session. One of the biggest game-changers for my gym experience has been the app's customization options. If a specific machine is occupied or you don't have certain equipment, the app intelligently suggests alternatives. Need a bit more recovery time between sets? You can easily adjust the rest timer. This level of flexibility makes the Alive App incredibly adaptable to any gym environment, or even for home workouts if you have the necessary gear. It dramatically helps in maintaining consistency, which, as we all know, is paramount for any successful fitness journey. I used to dread planning my workouts, but now I genuinely look forward to seeing my daily exercises clearly laid out. In essence, the Alive App is far more than just a collection of workouts; it's a comprehensive fitness companion that instills confidence and provides unwavering support. If you're serious about strength training and seeking a clear, progressive path, especially as a 'gym girl' navigating a new environment, giving the 7-day free trial a shot is absolutely worthwhile. It truly empowers you to take control of your fitness, much like having a virtual coach in your pocket, guiding you every step of the way.
