Zoe and I have spent a couple of weeks working hard to get her book stacks under control and decluttered so that we can shelve ALL of these books! The only stack of books we have on the floor now is her stack of library books that have been read and are ready to be returned. And we have a cabin

She loves doing the dishes, especially after we’ve had people over, I LOVE that because after I feel like I’ve cooked all afternoon, it’s such a treat for someone to cheerfully take over. She also enjoys helping with just about anything she sees us doing, in this case, making food for her for later

Most of our days aren’t like this, but some are. I often don’t know the reason she wakes up not feeling the day. Sometimes it’s having to wake up earlier than normal, but that wasn’t today. She knows her sister is leaving for college later this week, and that could be part of it. It’s just hard
