This Layering Order Changed These Two Perfumes for Me
I tried layering these fragrances both ways, and the order makes all the difference.
I didn’t care for layering Marc Jacobs Daisy Love first followed by the classic Calvin Euphoria. Euphoria overpowered the lighter fragrance, and the combination just wasn’t for me.
Instead, I spray the classic Calvin Euphoria first and finish with Marc Jacobs Daisy Love.
Euphoria creates a warm, distinctive base that helps settle the slightly oily floral notes I pick up in Daisy Love. On its own, Euphoria has a beautiful signature scent, and even though it’s a parfum, it doesn’t last as long as other oil based fragrances. Daisy Love, a toilette, steps in with a soft sweetness that helps carry the fragrance while letting Euphoria shine instead of competing with it.
Together, they bring out the best in each other. Euphoria adds warmth and depth, while Daisy Love keeps everything light, fresh, and feminine.

... Read moreLayering perfumes can be a game-changer when it comes to personalizing your fragrance and making your scent last throughout the day. From my experience, the order in which you apply fragrances like Calvin Klein Euphoria and Marc Jacobs Daisy Love can drastically affect the final aroma and how long it stays on your skin.
Calvin Klein Euphoria has a warm, inviting base with rich fruity and floral notes that offer depth but can sometimes be overpowering if layered incorrectly. Marc Jacobs Daisy Love, on the other hand, is lighter with a fresh, sweet floral profile, but it doesn’t have the lasting power of Euphoria on its own. By spraying Euphoria first, I allow it to settle and create a lasting foundation. Then, topping it with Daisy Love adds a delicate, airy finish without overshadowing Euphoria's richness.
One tip I’ve found helpful is to apply the base fragrance on pulse points like wrists, neck, and behind the ears, and then lightly spritz the lighter scent from a slight distance to avoid saturating the skin. This method helps the scents blend naturally and evolve beautifully over time.
Also, consider the occasion when choosing layering combinations. For daytime or work, this duo balanced with Euphoria’s warmth and Daisy Love’s fresh softness feels uplifting but not overwhelming. For evening wear, you might lean more on Euphoria alone for a bolder, more sensual vibe.
Another note is about the lasting power: Euphoria being a parfum offers more longevity, but its oily base can sometimes feel heavy. Layering with Daisy Love, an eau de toilette priced around $142 at Macy’s, gently balances this to keep your scent from becoming too intense.
In conclusion, experimenting with fragrance layering opens up endless possibilities. By understanding the characteristics of each perfume, like the warm depth of Calvin Klein Euphoria and the soft floral sweetness of Marc Jacobs Daisy Love, you can create a signature scent that is uniquely yours.
