Normalize a lived in home ✨

I was super excited when I saw the normalization of normal homes. When I was looking at everyone’s posts I was like oof maybe mine is not normal??!! Everyone’s home is so beautiful…I’m always striving for that perfectly aesthetic home. The reality is I’m not going to have that for some time. My home is set up for the comfort and enjoyment of my children right now. They don’t play back I their rooms alone. They play out in the main living space with the family. As much I love minimal things in my personal space, I love to see and hear my children’s joy even more. I love to watch their creativity and imagination as they grow. This is what makes sense for us right now so for me this is my normal house…😬🤷🏻‍♀️🫶

But for real though….where does everyone put all the toys??

... Read moreIn recent years, there has been a growing movement towards embracing the concept of a 'lived-in' home, where the perfect aesthetic often takes a backseat to comfort and family interaction. This trend resonates especially with parents who prioritize spaces that foster creativity and joy for their children. Many families find themselves navigating the challenge of toy storage while creating an environment that allows for shared moments in living areas. Effective organization tips can help manage toy clutter, such as utilizing multifunctional furniture, decorative bins, and creating designated play areas that blend into the home’s decor. Pinterest boards and Instagram feeds are filled with inspiration for maintaining a balance between style and practicality, showing that a beautiful home doesn't have to be devoid of personality, mess, or the delightful chaos that children bring. Social media challenges and hashtags like #normalizenormalhomes encourage homeowners to showcase their true living spaces, revealing that perfection is not always achievable or necessary. By sharing authentic snapshots of life, families find community and support which helps normalize their experiences. The concept of 'home' is evolving, reminding us that it’s about memories created, love shared, and the unique way families live, not just how they present their spaces to the world.
