Making pressed powder Part Two
I really love pressed and loose setting powders and what they can do for a finished makeup look. I have Huda Beauty cherry blossom in both a pressed powder and loose powder and it really got me thinking about turning my Ube birthday cake setting powder into a pressed powder because it's a limited addition and not sure if they're gonna keep it around or turn it into one of their amazing pressed powder so I decided to give it a shot myself.
This was my second try at converting loose powder into pressed. It worked really good I feel like I got the consistency better. I think what really helped this time was filling the compact with powder all the way to the top and then adding the alcohol/binding agent. I think once I got down the measurements it was pretty easy. I would definitely recommend watching videos on how to do this just to get technique down.
One interesting thing that I did learn is when you have a compact with pressed powder that breaks you do not need a binding agent to repress it, as it already has a binding agent in it so you don't need to add anymore. There is an example of this in another one of my posts I combined to highlighters together that we're both pressed. Turned out fantastic!!

something else I can say is that after using the powder with my regular makeup you have so much more control using a pressed powder over a setting powder. Also when you buy a huge beauty setting powder there's a lot more product than if you buy the pressed powder version of that so this way you still get your moneys worth. I think with a container of setting powder I could probably make pressed powder out of it at least three times.
