THINGS COLLEGE STUDENTS NEED TO STOP DOING 🙈🚫

Alright, we need to have a little chat because some habits are getting out of control. Let’s all agree to stop doing these:

1. Spending $6 on Coffee or $15 on Takeout… Then Complaining About Being Broke ☕

You can’t cry about your bank account while drinking overpriced lattes daily. Choices, people.

2. Pulling All-Nighters and Bragging About It 🛌

“Look at me, I haven’t slept in 36 hours!” That’s not a flex—it’s a cry for help. Sleep is not optional.

3. Ignoring Emails Like They Don’t Exist 📧

Your professors, your group projects, your future internship—all waiting for you to hit reply. Just do it.

4. Acting Like You’re the Only One Stressed Out 😩

Yes, college is hard. But newsflash: everyone’s struggling. We’re all on this rollercoaster together—stop making it a competition.

💬 What are some other things college students need to stop doing? Drop your additions in the comments below!

2024/12/12 Edited to

... Read moreAs college students navigate life, it's crucial to prioritize smart habits. One prevalent issue is the tendency to overspend on daily luxuries, like $6 coffees or $15 takeout meals, while lamenting financial struggles. This behavior reveals a disconnect between spending habits and budgeting. Instead of indulging in daily high-cost coffees, consider brewing your own at home or seeking affordable campus eateries. By reallocating these funds, students can build a more sustainable lifestyle. Furthermore, sleep deprivation should be addressed. Many students crow about their all-nighters, but research shows that inadequate sleep can lead to diminished academic performance and overall well-being. Emphasizing time management and prioritizing sleep is essential for success. Finding a balance between study and rest is key to maintaining productivity. Ignoring emails is another detrimental habit that must be addressed. It’s easy to overlook digital communication in a busy college life, but timely replies have significant implications for grades and networking opportunities. Regularly checking and responding to emails creates a sense of responsibility and professionalism that future employers will value. Finally, stop framing stress as a solo journey. Shared experiences can be powerful, and recognizing that everyone faces challenges fosters community support. Talking about struggles openly can reduce the stigma of stress in college culture. Embrace teamwork and compassion, acknowledging that everyone is in this together. By eliminating these habits, college students can pave the way for a more fulfilling and successful experience.

Not having an agenda - schedule time in a day to work on assignments •it not only holds you to it it also helps you not to forget •it also spaces out assignments so you don’t procrastinate til they’re all due at once

As a freshman in college, I am totally guilty of number one. I never intentionally ignore emails, but I feel like as a college student There are so many I receive daily and it is sometimes so hard to keep up with them, but I totally understand what you’re saying. Agree totally with everything else you said though!🔥
