What I read during spooky month (October)

Although I did read a mystery book, I didn't really read anything spooky or scary during October. 🤷🏼‍♀️ HOWEVER, I did read some good books that I'm excited to share!

Stars Uncharted

S.K. Dunstall

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Three people aren't who they claim to be:

Nika is a body modder on the run from an assassin, Josune is crew on a famous explorer ship with information about unexplored worlds that is worth a fortune, and Hammond Roystan has many secrets and some believe one of them is the key to finding a lost world full of precious metal. The three of them come together when a company threatens their lives over the information they possess.

Exit Strategy

Martha Wells

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our antisocial SecUnit has gathered enough information to destroy a corrupt company, and is faced with the challenge of rescuing Dr. Mensah, the human who bought Murderbot, as well as her crew from the same company SecUnit has information on.

Can't Spell Treason Without Tea

Rebecca Thorne

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reyna and Kianthe dream of opening a bookshop that serves tea, however leaving their lives isn't so easy when Reyna is one of the Queen's private guards, and Kianthe is the most powerful mage in existence. After an assassin unsuccessfully takes Reyna hostage, she decides she's ready to run away with the mage and open up a shop in a town in the icy tundra.

Stars Beyond

S.K. Dunstall

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sequel to Stars Uncharted where the trio, Josune, Roystan, and Nika are looking for the legendary lode of transurides, a precious metal, however in order to do that they have to recover Roystan's memory which requires a genemod machine. The only thing standing in their way is the Justice Department, and the crew will do what needs to be done to keep them off their trail.

Shady Hollow

Juneau Black

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All is well in the woodland village of Shady Hollow until one of its residents turns up dead. Murdered. When the resident fox and news reporter Vera Vixen catches wind of the murder, she's determined to get to the bottom of it and catch the murderer- and the scoop.

A Pirate's Life for Tea

Rebecca Thorne

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Second book in the series where Kianthe and Reyna are looking for stolen dragon eggs and gets roped into finding and catching a pirate in exchange for information about the eggs. They come to find out that a constable is after the same pirate, and she used to be best friends with her when they were kids. Reyna sees a budding romance where Kianthe isn't as convinced. (Maybe the other way around because I constantly mixed them up in the book lol)
