Galatians 5:22-23 lists these beautiful characteristics: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren't things we can conjure up on our own; they are supernatural byproducts of the Spirit living within us. I've found that when I lean into Him, these fruits naturally start to blossom in my life, making me a better person for myself and for those around me. One of the most exciting aspects for me has been learning about how He equips us with spiritual gifts, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7. This passage talks about a diversity of gifts given for the common good – things like wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues. My understanding is that these are all ways the Spirit works through us.
